This job post is aimed at finding a new team member for GBS Special Situations Group (SSG). SSG provides high-quality transaction services for banking and Real Estate clients.

The job represents a unique opportunity for a highly-motivated entrepreneurial coworker to join a small team with a horizontal structure to take on responsibility and work closely with partners and VPs.

The team is multidisciplinary, ranging a broad scope of Real Estate and credit products like RE and distressed M&A, debt and capital raising, loan and portfolio sales or securitizations. The final candidate will have exposure across all the aforementioned verticals.

ASSOCIATE

 

Job Description

  • Leading teams throughout complete transaction execution processes (due diligence, interaction with internal teams, external advisors and counterparties);
  • Coordinate the preparation of marketing materials, including: service pitches, valuation documents and sale process materials, among others;
  • Creation of financial valuation models;

Position requirements

  • Minimum work experience of 3 years in M&A, Corporate Finance or similar, ideally with an NPA or Real Estate component;
  • Mastering financial modelling and solid pricing assessment skills (these skills will be assessed as part of the selection process);
  • Capacity to coordinate a team and assist w the execution of transactions;
  • Degree in Economics / Business Administration and Management or Engineering;
  • Advanced level of MS Office (Excel and Power Point);
  • Languages: fluent in English, both written and spoken;
  • Teamwork, good communication skills, results orientated;
  • Analytical capacity and attention to detail.

* Experience with database management tools (e.g. Python, Clementine) and basic legal notions are a bonus.

ANALYST

Job Description

  • Development of financial valuation models;
  • Active participation and coordination of transaction execution processes (due diligence, interaction with internal teams, external advisors and counterparties);
  • Involvement in the preparation of marketing materials, including: service pitches, valuation documents and sale process materials, among others;

Position requirements

  • Minimum experience of 1 year in M&A, Corporate Finance or similar, ideally with a Real Estate component;
  • Strong financial modeling knowledge and skills (these skills will be assessed as part of the selection process);
  • Experience in the execution and coordination of transactions;
  • Degree in Economics / Business Administration and Management or Engineering;
  • Advanced level of MS Office (Excel and Power Point);
  • Languages: fluent in English: both spoken and written;
  • Teamwork, good communication skills, results orientated;
  • Analytical capacity and attention to detail

OFF-CYCLE TRAINEE

Job Description

  • Assistance in the development of financial valuation models;
  • Provide support in transaction execution processes (due diligence, interaction with internal teams, external advisors and counterparties);
  • Assistance in the preparation of marketing materials, including: service pitches, valuation documents and sale process materials among others;

Position requirements

  • Preference for a recent undergraduate with a good academic record.
  • Interest in the banking industry and the RE sector.
  • Priors professional experience. Experience in the financial sector will be a bonus.
  • Knowledge in accounting and business valuation (these skills will be assessed as part of the selection process);
  • Degree in Economics / Business Administration and Management or Engineering;
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Power Point);
  • Languages: fluent in English, both written and spoken;
  • Teamwork, good communication skills, results orientated;
  • Analytical capacity and attention to detail.
