This job post is aimed at finding a highly motivated and entrepreneurial professional to join our Special Situations Group (SSG). GBS Special Situations Group (SSG) is growing and looking for an ANALYST / SENIOR ANALYST to join the team.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a small, collaborative team with a flat structure, working closely with Partners and Vice Presidents and taking on real responsibility from day one.

Our team works across a broad spectrum of real estate and credit products, with a strong focus on non-performing assets (NPA) and distressed transactions, including: Real Estate and distressed M&A, debt and capital raising, loan and portfolio sales and securitizations. The final candidates will have exposure across all of these verticals, while contributing to complex and high-impact transactions in the banking and Real Estate sectors.

 

ANALYST/SENIOR ANALYST

 

Main tasks:

  • Active participation and coordination of transaction execution processes (due diligence, interaction with internal teams, external advisors and counterparties);
  • Involvement in the preparation of marketing materials, including: service pitches, valuation documents and sale process materials, among others;
  • Development of financial valuation models;

 

Position requirements:

  • Minimum work experience of 1 year in M&A, Corporate Finance or similar, ideally with a credit, distressed or Real Estate component;
  • Financial modelling knowledge and skills (these skills will be assessed as part of the selection process);
  • Prior involvement in the execution and coordination of transactions;
  • Experience with database management tools and ability to extract and analyze large datasets;
  • Degree in Economics / Business Administration and Management or Engineering;
  • Advanced level of MS Office (Excel and Power Point);
  • Languages: fluent in English, both written and spoken;
  • Teamwork, good communication skills, results orientated;
  • Analytical capacity and attention to detail.

 

Experience with database tools (e.g. Python, Clementine) and basic legal notions are a bonus.
