Financial advisor to the seller
Description: Majorica is one of the leading companies engaged in the manufacture and sale of cultured pearls. Its shareholders, the Santodomingo Colombian family, through their company Alpha Investments, Capital Corpfin, PRW and FIBEX, decided to hire GBS Finance to seek a buyer, given the lack of profitability.
GBS Finance finally sold the company to Line XXI Invest, an investment group composed of various Catalan businessmen. Before signing the contract a rebate of part of its high debt (over 30 M €) with the banks was negotiated. GBS Finance also helped in negotiations with local authorities and the work unions for the company downsizing. The creditor institutions were also present on the signing of the contract.
